Zomato has announced the launch of its “Zomato Gold” programme, a paid subscription-based service, in India. The food ordering App has seen success in UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), and Portugal (Lisbon and Porto), and had been waiting to launch the programme for its Indian market.
What Is Zomato Gold?
Zomato Gold is an exclusive dine out and social drinking membership program. The company has handpicked more than 1200 restaurants and bars across Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru, to offer the Gold class experience to all its subscribing members. In the next few weeks, the plan is to introduce Gold to other Indian cities as well.
As per the programme, Zomato subscribers will get access to complimentary food and drinks at over 1,200 restaurant partners, when they place an order. The service will be available at an inaugural price of INR 299 (three months) and INR 999 (12 months).
Besides, Zomato Gold members will also get exclusive invitations to curated events like wine-tasting sessions, new menu previews, pub crawls, chef cook-out sessions, food walks, and new restaurant openings, etc.
In its recent blog, Zomato claimed that it already has an existing subscription program in India Zomato Treats of about 60,000 members.
