Nazara Raises $51.1 Mn In Fresh Funding
Mumbai-based mobile gaming company Nazara has raised about $51.1 Mn in a fresh round of funding led by IIFL Special Opportunities Fund.
Nazara Technologies is preparing to float its IPO by the end of this financial year at a valuation of around $500 Mn.
Founded in 2000 by Nitish Mittersain, Nazara Technologies is a mobile games developer and publisher that provides unique services such as “Games Club.” It also serves as an exclusive distributor for key game developers such as Electronic Arts.
Holachef Raises Fresh Funding
Food delivery startup Holachef has reportedly raised fresh capital through a mix of equity and debt.
According to VCC, the startup has raised INR 8.95 Cr ($1.38 Mn). About INR 2.94 Cr was through equity from a clutch of individual investors and corporate entities, including Rajasthan-based software publishing and consultancy firm IPI Technolab.
Mumbai-based Holachef was launched in 2014 by Saurabh Saxena and Anil Gelra. It delivers ready-to-eat home-cooked food to consumers and has in-house chefs who prepare signature dishes. These dishes include Indian and global cuisines, besides desserts, beverages, munchies, and soups and salads. Currently, Holachef operates only in Mumbai.
H2O.io Raises $40 Mn In A Series C Round Of Funding
Silicon Valley-based H2O.ai has raised $40 Mn (about INR 258 Cr) in a Series C round of funding led by banking and financial services company Wells Fargo and technology firm NVIDIA.
The existing investor also participated in this round including Nexus Venture Partners, New York Life, Crane Venture Partners, and Transamerica Ventures.
H2O.ai is an enterprise startup co-founded by Indian-origin entrepreneur SriSatish Ambati. The company will use the raised capital to advance its machine learning efforts, and for global expansion and innovation of Driverless AI, an automated machine learning and pipelining platform.
Founded by Ambati and Cliff Click in 2011, H2O.ai has partnered NVIDIA and IBM to enhance machine learning and teamed up with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure to bring its machine learning platform to the public cloud.
Befikr Raises $2 Mn In Series A Round Of Funding
Hyperlocal services startup Befikr has raised about $2 Mn in Series A round of funding from undisclosed investors.
The raised capital will be used for the expansion of Befikr’s services in Delhi-NCR and Pune region. The capital will also help the company to strengthen its current technology infrastructure as well as for marketing.
Delhi NCR-based Befikr was launched in 2016 by Chirajay Sharma, Sunny Trehan, and Sumit Srivastava. The startup is working towards disrupting the unorganised yet overcrowded home services market. It offers a full-time in-house team of service professionals.
